Dualstrip & Monostrip
Intumescent high pressure activation, low volume strip for
door edges and frames.
Monostrip provides ½ hour and 1 hour
passive fire
protection. Dualstrip provides
½ hour and 1 hour passive fire and smoke protection.
During fire exposure, the amount of smoke that is contributed by
the decomposing plastic sheath with Dualstrip & Monostrip is
extremely small when compared with the volume of smoke from other
sources. Furthermore, the small amount of smoke that is created
using Dualstrip & Monostrip will rapidly decrease as the
intumescent core expands.
When using Dualstrip & Monostrip the combined action of the
brush seal and intumescent seal minimises the amount of smoke that
can pass through the door frame gaps.
Dualstrip
- Dualstrip combines a smoke seal and an intumescent fire seal in
a high quality, plastic extrusion that fits neatly into the edge of
the fire door or door frame to protect against smoke and fire.
- Dualstrip is washable and tough enough to withstand scuffs,
knocks and casual vandalism.
- Suitable for single and double leaf doors of 1/2 hour and 1
hour fire resistance and for single and double swings action.
- Sizes are 10mm x 4mm, for 1/2 hour systems and 20mm x 4mm, 20mm
x 5mm Profiled and 25mm x 5 mm for 1 hour systems. All sizes have
been independently tested and certified to BS 476 part 22 1987 in
official fire tests on door sets.
- Standard length is 1m. Lengths or 2,1m available to order.
- Dualstrip is also available self-adhesive for more rapid
fitting.

Monostrip
- Monostrip intumescent strip is available without a smoke seal,
in the same colour range of plastic extrusions for passive fire
protection exclusively.
